About the artwork: This canvas was created around the time of Sandra using black backgrounds on many of her paintings, with flowers, or animals contrasting off the canvas. The Monstera leaf has such a beautiful shape and highlights, shadows that she thought it would be a great subject for a mini canvas. This was actually the first mini canvas that Sandra ever created.
